Speech Centers: Articulation Concepts

Description

This articulation practice activity is perfect for mixed groups when you need to keep students busy in a productive way while you are giving direct attention to other students.

Articulation speech centers are designed to be simple, quick, and independent so students can have productive practice rather than silent busy work when they are not receiving 1:1 input. Centers can be used individually to target specific skills or you can use multiple centers in a session.

In this “Articulation Concepts” speech center, students will use the included cards to practice speech sounds in both words and sentences while reinforcing concept knowledge. This activity is also great for targeting comparatives. Students will select a card, decide which word best answers the concept question, and then state it in a sentence (for which scaffolds are provided). Students can then write the sentences on the back of laminated cards with dry-erase makers.
