7 Must-Follow Instagram Accounts for SLPs Who Love to Travel
Instagrams for SLPs who travel are a great way to feel like you are seeing the world from the comfort of your couch!
A little fact about me…I LOVE to travel. I don’t just mean that I really enjoy heading to Mexico for a little R&R (though that sounds lovely), but I really, truly, love to TRAVEL. So if you are like me, you will love these 7 Must-Follow Instagram Accounts for SLPs Who Love to Travel.
I like to spend weeks in each place and really start “living” there. In 2010, right after finishing grad school, I spent almost three months traveling, largely alone. While many of my travels have been completely non-SLP related (turtle conservation in Costa Rica, anyone?), I’ve also been able to utilize my expertise on a few occasions. I taught English to Tibetan refugees living in India and helped open up some new clinics for autism in Bosnia.
Ah, to be young and in my pre-child mental state again.
Lately, I’ve resigned myself to the reality that my jet-setting now consists of a flight to Florida to visit family while trying to pacify a toddler and an infant. So fun.
And so, I fulfill my wanderlust by living vicariously through a few SLPs (and one OT) whose Instagram accounts remind me about that great, big world out there. (Sigh).

To be fair, this is actually an OT. But, how can I not drool over the idea of watching Aurora Borealis from the comfort of a van home?

Kristin takes travel contracts around the country, but what I love most about her account is the positive, motivating vibe. If you’re looking for a safe space on IG where you can feel supported and inspired, with a little travel thrown in – this is it!

A recent addition as I updated this post since its original creation – this SLP gets bonus points for spending time in New Zealand and getting into all sorts of outdoorsy stuff.
