An avid reader of books in psychology, motivation, productivity, and business, Kristin is always looking for ways to incorporate these concepts into the materials she makes for SLPs as well as the way she provides therapy. She shares these on her blog, at speaking events, and with unsuspecting strangers. Her patient husband Bill is constantly working to avoid late-night discussions about moving deep work to the morning hours or using time-boxing to increase the efficiency of getting laundry done.
Curious about the name Kiwi Speech? Although Kristin, her lucky husband, and two young children currently call Pittsburgh home, she spent her early childhood in New Zealand and still very much considers herself a Kiwi (the person, not the bird or the fruit).

Kristin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 with a B.A. in Communication Science and Disorders. After a short, misguided stint in a post-baccalaureate pre-med program, she returned to the University of Pittsburgh and earned her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2010. Since then, she has worked in Early Intervention (3-5), private practice, and the school-aged population in schools in Pittsburgh. She currently provides clinical services to a small number of clients through her own private practice and spends the remainder of her time developing materials, resources, content, and marketing for SLPs.
Kristin has also traveled extensively, often finding ways to use her skills as an SLP abroad. She has participated in multiple programs such as the Bosnia Autism Project, teaching English to Tibetan refugees in India, and serving as an SLP Supervisor for undergraduate and graduate students in Belize.
