In this digital growth mindset activity, students are asked to consider a variety of skills across different areas and sort them into things that feel easy or hard for them. There are no right/wrong answers. This is an opportunity for students to reflect on strengths and areas in which they have room to grow, reinforcing the concept that we are all different and that it’s not bad to have things that are hard for us.

Introduction slides introduce the concept, reinforce a growth mindset, and remind students that HARD things are NOT bad.

Many of these slides consider speech and language skills, however, a wide variety of skills represented (including sports, math, the arts, and the way we interact with others) and care is taken that any student will be able to identify some of their many strengths. These would work in any classroom – not just speech and language therapy.

This deck contains 40 slides and is set to randomize 20 at a time when assigned to students.
